RV-10 Glide Ratio

I should do some glide testing, I can tell you my -10 does not glide as well as my AA-5B Tiger did.

The prop has a lot to do with the glide.

Pulling the prop to low pitch increases the glide a lot.

Almost no one will stall the plane after an engine failure to stop the prop windmilling.

Has anyone done power off glide testing on a -10?

Just food for thought. I use 7:1 in Fore Flight. The glide path ring gives me a conservative assessment of what is around me and where I can go. In a real situation when you have to transition your mindset from power flight to glider, wind conditions, maybe distracted by emergency procedures or looking for a suitable LZ so your airspeed is off etc. you loss time and altitude quicker then you might if you were practicing an engine out procedure.
