Alternator regulator voltage set point

Well Known Member
Just purchased a 14684N alternator for my -7A. On the included docs, I read that the internal voltage regulator set point is 14.1 volts. Is there a way to increase this to get a little higher charging voltage into my PC680?
Thanks.

Just as a data point, my B&C is set at 13.8, batteries / pc680 last a long time, never an issue on starting. There pot on my VR to increase but no issues, no change. Been this way for 31 years best I can tell.

14.1 is what you want.

From their manual:

Charging with an Alternator
When used in starting applications, ODYSSEY® AGM 12V batteries will be charged on-board using a standard automotive alternator that generates anywhere between 14.2-14.5V at 77ºF (25ºC). We recommend a temperature compensation of the charge voltage at ±18 mv per battery per ºC variation
in temperature from 25ºC. The warmer the temperature the lower the charge voltage and the cooler the temperature the higher the charge voltage
