Melamine / Magic Eraser?

Has anyone tried melamine sponges to get rid of tiny scratches? I just pulled off my blue film and the parts I had soldered off earlier for the rivet lines have a distinct scratch/scuff pattern. Wondering if it's safe to try scrubbing those down with melamine sponges.

Polish or paint?

Try it on a scrap sample but I doubt it's abrasive enough.
Depends on how you plan to finish.
If paint just scuff with scotch brute. Paint shop will scuff the whole plane anyway. I usually treat the area after to protect with Alodine or rattle can primer.
If polish is the finish, maybe another builder knows a trick.
Personally, I remove blue film.
