With your permission, I'll start...
Got the finished fuselage out of the paint booth; the canopy skirt is next. When the canopy is finished it goes on the fuselage and they both go to the hangar!

Got my wheel pants mostly on. Just have intersection fairings to do (which is why the mains aren't primed yet). The ball is even still centered!

30ish LOP at 60% power is now 12 knots faster for me at 152 KTAS burning 7.5 gph. :D I don't know how that stacks up with others but I'm happy with it.

Cleaned the bugs off the wings -- all of them -- and re-arranged cables for the video camera. Way too exciting, I know. More bug cleaning today. Might go for some actual IFR.

Very nice

What a sharp looking airplane. I cant wait to see it at Osh before the paint covers up that really nice metal working.

Ticked off another week...

...waiting for the paint on my RV-7 to be finished.

I bought another RV!

I left Oke City in my new RV14A and flew to Saint John Arizona for gasoline. Consumed some vending machine food and then flew to my hanger in Borrego Springs. I love the 14A so much more than the 10. I feel like I’m flying a Mercedes compared to an F250.

Swapped off as safety pilot with my 10Friend and this was my day! 2.2 hrs.

500

This weekend the cowl is off, loving up the engine bits for a few days when I have some time.

On the non-RV front, I logged my 500th hour of in-the-sim, on-motion, running-the-emergency-checklist jiggles and shakes at the part time side hustle. 192nd client support session yesterday 0630. Done in 1.3 years. Starting to actually get it...

Started moving things to the hangar

Started moving into the hangar. Moved the completed wings and tail feathers. Got some strange looks during the hour long drive with the tail sticking out of the back of the truck.

Flew from San Diego to Concord, Ca with my wife to visit her parents. Was fortunate enough to land at a time close to when Syrus landed N144SD there, so I got to take a look at his airplane too!

WHAT A DIFFERENCE A YEAR MAKES

Just thinking that a year ago (June 13, 2020) a gallon of 100LL at KXBP Bridgeport, Texas was $2.60 point 9. On July 4, 2021 it was $3.90 point 9. Oh well, I remember it’s been worse and may be yet again, but boy that $2.60 sure was a nice sign. I hope the airport manager saved it.

Keep on flying.

Took my son to the Hudson River Corridor!

Flew with granddaughter to Sporty's in Batavia. Put 4.5 on the airplane. Solid blue skies going down and VFR on-top at 8.5 MSL coming back home. We had a blast...

Started removing hoses, wires and left mag so I could get to the fuel pump for replacement. Got pump replaced, however, my new hoses are too long (my fault, not Tom's) so I'm having those modded and hopefully will have everything back together in the next few days.

Learned a lot about the engine in the process.

Did several flyovers for a couple different gatherings. Always fun hanging out with our Smoke On Aviation formation friends.

Ocracoke Beach

My wife really wanted to go to the beach so we agreed that if the weather cooperated on Monday we would fly to Ocracoke (W95) for a little beach time. The weather was forecast to be decent but it would take a little time to burn off the morning summer fog/haze (Faze?) We finally got to launch about 0930 and after a fuel stop at Pitt-Greenville NC we jumped over to Ocracoke. We spent a couple hours on the beach and went back home.....only possible in an airplane and especially a Vans!

Took my nephew on his first non-commercial flight

I took my nephew on his first private flight. He’s in CAP at 14 soon to be 15, hoping to go to Colorado Springs. Great kid. I was lazy, I made him fly about 2/3 of the flight. He was better than I was on my first flight. Nice touch. ;). Now if somebody could tell me how to rotate pictures……

Open the pic on your PC with photo editing software. Find the "rotate" control and rotate the pic. Save it. When you go to the attachment paperclip browse for it and it will be rotated. I saved your pic in the original format then rotated it. When you click on it it will magically rotate and enlarge.

Crash, which landing and position lights do you have? They look good; lots of light out front.

Wait, are you the original sweepstake winner or did the original winner sell it right away?

so if you take a picture with an iphone and then load it directly to this website, some of the data is stripped, like the orientation. I found that if you take the picture with the long ways of the camera horizontal, and the lens up, then the picture posts properly. If loaded from a computer, all the picture data is apparently kept, so computer uploads dont have this problem. JMHO

The NAV and strobe lights are from Whelen. I don’t know the model but I attached a photo.

The landing lights are FlyLED Seven Stars.
