Tow bar for 14A

Is there anyone that can recommend a towbar for the 14A that is not a Bogart? There have been many posts on this, mostly people that are using a Bogart or those that aren't, but have a 9 or a 12 or a 7, etc. If you look at the non Bogart ones they say it covers Van's nose gear models, but not 10 or 14s. $225 seems pretty high for a tow bar to me. If you have a 14A and are using something else a reference would be appreciated.

IMO get the Bogart

I initially ordered the RV-A Series Aircraft Towbar M-340-026 from AS, $85 + shipping > a big disappointment, not worth it. I would be glad to sell it to you for $35.

Then bought the Bogert 14A tow bar, $225 + shipping > much better, it fit better and was sturdier, no regrets.

If you can weld you might consider building your own. I think the materials cost me about $30-$40. I put it together in an afternoon. It’s not super heavy duty but so far it works fine.

Agree with JeffW. Just received the Bogert towbar a week ago and find it to be super nice and will last the life of the plane. Hold your nose….write the check !

Thanks guys.
Lyn, your bar looks really nice. great job. If I had a welder I would attempt it. I had a fundraiser golf outing this afternoon and I was going by Aircraft Spruce West Chicago on the way, so I bit the bullet and picked one up. Used it to move the plane tonight and it works fine.
