Red binding post

I'm hoping someone can help me understand what the builder had in mind. My purchased RV6 has a red binding post on the subpanel. It seems possible/probable it is intended as a ground power connection, as it is wired to the master contactor through a 20 amp glass Buss fuse.

I've never used it, and it has been long enough that I don't recall if the seller mentioned anything about it. It isn't mentioned in the POH.

So, what about a ground (-) connection? With the cowl off there is a reasonably convenient ground stud near the top of the firewall, but when I look at the red post, it seems odd there isn't a black one too.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Likely just a convenient power point for using a bench power supply during the build. Banana jack jumper to the post, and a banana jumper with alligator clip on the ground tab.
