Anyone replaced the o-rings in the P5000 ??
Chasing a super-small oil leak. Have the o-rings, getting ready to change the oil.
Do yourself a favor and get a ball valve type and you won’t touch it again. No leaks.
---Do yourself even more of a favor and get rid of the ball valve and replace it with the A.S.A super magnetic drain plug! https://antisplataero.com/products/magnetic-super-plug
No more leaks, and you will vastly extend your engines usable life. As a fringe benefit, at each oil change you will get a
visual display of how your engine is doing as compared to the previous interval. Very inexpensive insurance, and one of
the best things you can do for your engine. Thanks, Allan--

Just curious - do you have any data you care to share with us to support this claim?
As to the thread, I have a Saf-Air valve on my RV-7A and it has been problem free for 300+ hours. Had to replace one Fumoto valve on my Tundra due to leaks. It’s been leak free ever since and the Fumotos on my other vehicles have all been fine.
I would like to install a Fumoto ball valve on my Lycoming IO-360. I want to verify the thread is 1/2"-20 UNF before ordering. This is the valve I'm considering. I like it has a longer nipple to attach a drain hose.

I use a 2" length of Neoprene hose with a 1/8 pipe plug on the bottom,
No more seep! I just pull it off, and open the drain for the oil change.
