Install landing light before top skin?

I'm working on the second wing. The first one I did the landing light after the top skin and some of the wingtip skins were installed, where the KAI says to do it. Getting the bolts into the lights was a real pain.

This time, I'm thinking of installing the light before I put on the top skin or any of the wingtip, so I'll have the most access to that area. Is there any good reason NOT to do it then?

That’s how I did mine. I just made sure I could remove the lens cover through the cut out before I buttoned everything up. Frankly, after assembly I didn’t think it was even possible to remove the light without having to cut access holes under the mounting bolts. Good to know it is possible.
