Getting ready to install my GEA24 after finishing up the harness. Manual suggests 22ga Type K stranded rather than solid for its flexibily, but after shopping around it seems 20 or 24 solid is about all I can find available right now. Is it safe or rather acceptable to run 24ga thermocouple for the GEA24 EGT and CHT connection or would 20 be the better bet.

Short answer yes

I am running 26 awg thermal couple wire. So 24 awg should be good.
However, you need to make sure the crimp holds the wire. I would use a sacrificial sample pin and wire, crimp and then yank the wire out of the pin. The wire should break and not slid out of the pin’s crimp.

I have used solid thermo wire on two planes with no issues; 20 ga, I believe. As long as the wire is well supported, solid will be fine.
