Play in manual trim

2006 RV 8 quick built plane.Got about 3/16 play at trim tab from play in manual trim cable. Checked control in cockpit no play.Play seems to be in rear of cable ,not in mounting or Clovis. Any words of wisdom other than new cable.

Play in trim cable

Play in the trim cable has been discussed in the past and is normal. My 7A has similar play (roughly 1/4") and has not posed any flutter issues. I did pack the cable with a heavy grease to dampen the play-it helped a bit.

Do a thread search and you will see this is normal for manual trim.
