Aircraft position not showing on ILS approaches

Is anyone out there noticing that the geo-referenced aircraft position is not showing on all ILS approaches with Garmin FliteCharts? I have a G3X Touch /GTN 650Xi system and, although the aircraft position shows for all RNAV, VOR and NDB approaches, it only shows on a few of the ILS approaches in my area. Garmin has tried to explain that this is due to some waypoints shown on the chart are 'not-to-scale', but this doesn't explain how a RNAV approach shows the position with the same 'not-to-scale' waypoint on its chart.
