Transponder antenna for ADSB IN and OUT

Hello All,
I cant think of any reason a conventional L band, DME/transponder, antenna would not work for adsb in and out. Like a KA60. Am I wrong ?

Tom

Most transponder / DME antennas of any make and model work just fine. If you go with UAT out I would encourage a "UAT" tuned antenna from the likes of DeltaPop or TED. If you are buying then why not. If you already have a used TXP antenna then use that.

The Comant CI-105 is a 'wide band' antenna and recommended for UAT receive/Xpdr frequencies (960-1090).

Just check the frequency requirements of what the antenna is connecting to. I found my traditional pole antenna was fine for ADS-B out......but ADS-B in required a lower frequency to work well. The KA60 might encompass the full frequency requirement....but I don't recall at the moment. I just bought a rami AV-74.
