Andair Boost Pump

A while back builders were reporting premature failures with early versions of the Andair boost pump that comes with some of our kits.

My pump is the #7 version. Is this still an issue?

Van's and Andair have issued a S.B. regarding Ethanol use with certain fuel pumps.

I had a version #7 fail in the first 10 hrs. It was replaced with a version 7 and have had no issues in the next 100 hrs. I believe the issue with mine was a bad batch of speed controllers. Not sure if they came out with another version since the issue was addressed.

Is the alcohol causing the pump failures?
And, does 100LL contain alc?
