S-Tec system 30 issues

After 12 years, my S-Tec system 30 doesn’t want to come ready.
I have checked the fuses for the AP and TC. The TC flag retracts so that looks OK. The GPSS interface stays lit and functional. It didn’t grab the stick and clunk for pitch or roll as normal.

Any ideas?

Have you tried to disconnect and clean the harness at each servo and control head? That resolved my problem before.

I have not personally used him, but many guys at Beechtalk are helped over the phone and email...

Thanks!

I had the control head out to check the internal fuse. That end of the harness is in good shape.

I'll disconnect the Altitude controller (to check it's internal fuse) and both servos.

Then Bob Weber may get a call - thanks for that link.

I was able to contact a tech at Genesys (now owns STEC).
He suggested isolating the pitch computer to see what happens.
I disconnected the Pitch computer and tried turning it on. Viola - functions OK with just the roll side connected.

I opened up the pitch computer to check the internal fuse - it was bad. Replaced the fuse - checked the wiring for shorts, all OK and functioning properly again.

Thanks to all for their suggestions!
