I added vent door knobs to make it easier to adjust the air flow.

Two turns from open to closed.

Nice! This was my solution for reaching the passenger-side vent for us more altitude impaired!

This vent knob looks like it might work on the rear vents in any RV-10. Anybody know if that might be possible?

Thanks

In one word fabulous Bob! Well fabricated and designed. Make a mod of it. PM me a price please, if you' d like to sell a set?

I now have had four requests for these vent door knobs.

I am considering making them if I could make them for a reasonable price.

The more I make at one time would save a lot of setup time and help keep the price down.

These could also be used with a cable for remote location.

I would also be interested in 2 of the vent knobs, as I think I can make them work in my RV-10 back seat vents.

Thanks,

Should be easy enough to work out a fair price based on time and material cost once you decide what your time is worth. Maybe factor in a bit to cover the cost of running your equipment.

Joe, nice work on the knobs. Plastic cannot beat a nicely machined part.

For those interested in the Van's VENT-00004 style vent-door knobs, I created a version that can be 3D printed. You can install them using the same RV-12is KAI section 23-08U instructions. The files are available for free on my Printables model page. If you have a multi-material 3D printer you can print the set with the VENT text on the face. The angled cut is to ensure the door opens all the way makes them left and right side specific. Recommend printing with ASA, Nylon, or Polycarbonate material for durability, weight is 5g each in ASA. Most likely cheaper to buy the Van's knobs if you want the plain face, but not as much fun as making your own parts.
