Hit 100 hours on the -10! Part of a 3000 mile trip to visit family and get some R&R in Florida.

Pilots N Paws #34

Transported a 3 lb poodle from Anniston, AL (KANB) to her adopter in Fernandina Beach, FL (KFHB). The cost/pound on this delivery was pretty high . Had a 37 kt headwind all the way back to Moontown! Seemed like it took forever. Sorry, no photos.

first flight of 2023

After all of the rain and the bomb cyclone that hit California, Friday was severe clear. I did a quickie lunch flight up to Hemet, then back to the hangar for another long tank building session (fun with proseal).

Clear skies and calm winds. Perfect for a lunch flight to Hemet.

Snow on San Jacinto.

The Hale telescope on Mt. Palomar.

Were looking for lost cows in remote Colorado for a rancher. Found a dozen but it was the wrong owner :D

Beautiful wx yesterday, so took my bride to Jekyll Island. We've been here before and always enjoy the visit.

Hey Jim. Great pics! That’s my wife’s favorite thing to do in the RV. She loves it there!

Annual, so no flying...

Sometimes you can't fly because you take the time to keep it in tiptop shape. To keep it in tiptop shape you need tiptop people. Thank you expert A&P/IA Randy Richmond at 52F.

Morning run to Seligman, AZ

Flew up to Seligman, AZ this morning. Overcast to the east and sun to the west. Lots of snow on the peaks up in Flagstaff, the skiing is great.

Passed my IFR written on Saturday. Thank the various deities that's over.

Installed G3X Touch software v9.14 and went for a fly on Sunday. Everything worked fine. Blew the cobwebs out, first flight for the year 'cos I was vacationing overseas until last Tuesday. Happy and current, looking forward to finishing practical instrument training and schedule-wrangling for the flight test. Wish me luck!

Wife’s first flight

Took my wife for her first flight. After about 5 years of planning and building she finally got to experience her first flight in our plane. Great weather on trip to Stephenville TX for some Hard 8 BBQ. Great trip all around.

Flight of 2 from KSRQ to KEYW. Buddy was flying his Lancair ES-something. His passenger shot this amazing picture of my -8A at sunset.

WOW! I wish I could get that many people around to help at inspection time! Lucky!! What beer do you supply them? Clearly I must be using the wrong juice. :D
