The alternator came from Van's in the fire wall kit and the other day it started charging 17 volts. Has anyone had alternator charge this high. Odyessy battery. I had the battery on a Odyessy charger...

Try this. Remove bolts, clean bolt holes maybe with a parts cleaner, get it as clean as you can, blow dry make sure it is completely dry. Use tite seal on the bolts toward the head of the bolt so...

Costs

Vans is not the only ones raising prices. Everything is sky rocketing. For example a 4x4 1/4wall x 20' is $600.00 now. It is crazy. Fuel prices makes everything go up nomatter what it is.

Nothing wrong with that prop. I use the same one and it runs pretty smooth. Seems to do a good job.

I took my Biannual a while back and the instructor fly 75 knot pattern speed final still 75 knots. I thought was kinda hot . Just curious what you guys are flying. I have a fixed pitch prop.

Mag blast tubes

In Vans plans it calls for blast tube for the mags. Seems like to me the blast tubes would be like a leaking cowl seal. So whats everyone doing and are they necessary.

I always had high oil temps and cylinder temps on my RV7A. Changed to a better cooler to help oil temps. Still had high cylinder temps. I installed one antisplat cowl flap and I keep the temps down...

cabin heat

I thought of the cabin heat also and installed a engine soft plug in the tube to stop the air flow and it didn't make any difference. I will install a ez cool. There is just not enough outlet for it...

This is not the first time Ball bears have been used for wheel bearings. I own another experimental that has Ball bearings and was a original design. And the plane is treated a lot rougher than RV...

When I changed oil coolers it made a lot of difference. If I get cht down I think oil temps would drop to.

Has anyone trimmed the outlet. I didn't really want to trim it but if it would solve the cooling it would be worth it.
