Landing light cover gap

Mine is the same. Used a very small amount of clear silicone inside the leading edge (invisible to the eye) to seal the gap.

Solenoid

I found a replacement solenoid for $30 on Amazon, or in stock at the local auto parts store for $39 depending on how fast you need it. Quick and easy to replace.

Gila Static Cling tint

I just received a response from Gila customer service: they said their Static Cling tint material is safe for plexiglass. No adhesive….the product is designed to be removable.
