From 2009 …..low compression O-375 makes 195 hp and is happy with mogas..hi compression makes 205 plus hp but needs 100 LL . They have put nitrous on some and made close to 300 hp ..not recommended...

Been using AVBLEND …..about 40 years ( long before it was called AVBLEND) …..I intend to continue…but I steer clear of all other oil additives EXCEPT CAMGUARD …..I add them both every oil change

I used a thick piece of steel angle instead of the pry bar as this distributed the load on aluminum angle over a greater area …..welded a long piece of round bar stock on it for leverage but same idea

There are no successful pessimists ....but I would be every reluctant to fly until I was sure about diagnosis. Flying it as a test would not qualify as prudent I think ....just my two cents worth

Question ....are your fuselage side skins dimpled or machine countersunk ?
Specifically F-420 ( forward ) and F-423 ( aft ... to end of cockpit ) ....these are .032" skins so it is the minimum...

Those are reinforced weldements ….NOT the new style …..RVATOR had an article from VANS on that problem and fix on older style weldments ….I have lots of pictures of broken older weldments and the fix...

I am far from an expert ,BUT if I understand correctly I think you may regret that screw ....the gear needs to be able to move fore and mostly aft independent of the fairing . Again not a criticism...

I bought white from West system supplier .....ratio is on bottle but takes more than one coat for coverage ....but if just for block sanding ,one coat would probably do it

Turns out VANS sells in long lengths as electrical conduit ...just had to look in " electrical " section....confirmed with VANS ...it is SAME product
