WTB mount clips for Lightspeed ignition

I am looking for two of the mount clips needed to mount a Lightspeed ignition.

They are pretty spendy on most of the sites, so just checking to see if anyone has a couple (like Slick clips, I...

Anyone have some extra (2) clips to mount Slick magnetos that aren't being used? There are two part numbers but I am not sure which one I need. Haven't heard back from Lightspeed.

They want way...

Figured it out

Thanks guys for the input.

Found the two "0" on the cam gear. They were really faint.

Got the accessory case back on and on to the pushrods.

lycoming gear timing?

I'm looking for some insight from you guys who have done this.

I have an older, O-320 D2B that I am in the process of putting back together with an overhauled case, crank and new cylinders.

do it

Not done with my -9 yet, but everyone says it's the easiest taildragger to land they have flown. I'm betting they are right and am looking forward to some new challenges!
Good luck.

Small world?

Hey Steve,
Great post. Where you up at Jefferson County on Sunday?
My buddy and I were on our Harelys and walked by an -8 by the museum that looked a lot like yours.
Great day in May, huh?!!

Thanks guys

Thanks for all your responses.

My assumption was true. As the Tosten grip sits on top of the stick (with it's mounting bushing) it adds about 6-7 inches to the stick.

I have the panel installed...

Just wanting to know what length you all ended up with your left side stick?

Thanks Keith!
I see what is going on now.
My case has threaded studs as well (0-320 D2B oldie) so can't take them out.
Thanks again!

Thanks Dan!

I understand what he built it from, it would just be nice to see a pic of it being used. Not quite sure how it pushes on the studs, I guess.

Any further insight is appreciated!

Lycoming case splitting tool

I am just reaching out to see if anyone has the "right" tool to split a Lycoming case. I was beginning my reassembly and something isn't right on the front main so the crank is tight.

Does anyone...

What worked for me was to tweak the exposed edges (in line with the holes) of the flanges.

You can bend them inward or scotchbrite (as Tom said) the edges so they will fit in the skins without the...

I just chedked mine and that hidden line is the f-9101 where it doubles on the buikhead.

It is cutoff in the bottom of the drawing so it looks like washer sized.

Happy plumbing!

just be patient
