Any thoughts or comments about spark plug helicoil replacement on an 0-320? Lycoming SI 1043A insists that you go .010 oversize.

Sugar in tank

Anyone ever have sugar in their tank? From what I've read it does not dissolve in gasoline it goes down and gets halted by the screen.

Oversize Piston/Cyl/Rings

I have an 0-320D2J with .010 oversize cyls ( nitrided) on a Penn Yann O/H. The Lyc O/H manual says don't do that, 0-360 only. Have you ever heard of this phenomenon?

Valve clearance

Would one want to go for the smaller or the larger valve clearance dimension at overhaul? Seems to me that clearance will get larger over time.

Another good question is after you check clearance with case halves assembled, do you now use new nuts since you've now removed cad from the studs, changing torque value.
