Gerry and his wife Dorothy both passed away in the last few weeks. Gerry was an early RV-4 builder and an active RV group flyer in the Chicago area. He built a hybrid Harmon Rocket in the early 2000's he named "The Mystery Rocket". Most recently he completed an RV-12. He built several other non-RV types and was a great builder resource. Gerry and Dorothy owned a couple hobby shops in the Chicago area with the last one at the Sanwich, IL Airport where they lived for many years. Gerry was also active R/C builder with a beautiful giant scale Waco being one of his favorite creations.

Gerry was a great inspiration for me and many other builders in the area. He was always willing to share his opinion and ideas which was highly valued given his expertise and reputation as a true craftsman.

Gerry and Dorothy were always together and cherished each other's company. It's fitting that they passed within weeks of each other. They will both be missed.
