ANNUAL FLY-IN! Bakersfield CA Bakersfield Municipal Airport L45

May 7, 2021 EAA Chapter 71 will host the Bakersfield Municipal Airport annual Fly-In, Airport Open House, and Young Eagle flights. Join pilots and other aviation enthusiasts for a chance to casually enjoy planes up close. Bakersfield Municipal (L45) is the home of the Harmon Rocket, a hot rod 6 cylinder two seat airplane based on the 4 cylinder Vans RV4, so plenty are usually on display.

- Open to everyone! If you are a pilot, please fly over and park on the ramp behind Glitz Cafe(NW corner of field). Invite non-pilots of all ages to view the planes, talk to pilots, and kids 10-17 can receive free Young Eagle intro flights(register at YEDay.org)

- Glitz Cafe will be open for breakfast and lunch until 2pm, event special pulled pork sandwich, chips, & soda $9.50.

- Parents can register kids 10-17 for free Young Eagles intro flights at YEDay.org
