- Hartzell Engine-Prop Approval Table (download .xls file)
...sent in by Les Doud of Hartzell Propeller, Inc.
"This is an updated summary of Hartzell engine-prop approvals for the more common configurations used on RVs. I hope this list will answer your questions and/or clarify what placards, if any, affect your configuration. If your engine configuration is not specifically listed, you are responsible for interpreting this information and how it may apply to the configuration you are flying. Please let me know if you discover any conflicting information between this list, the TCDS or other sources.
I will attempt to update this summary through Doug as new information becomes available. I hope to have information on the composite prop soon. As always, if you have questions, don't hesitate to contact us.
Be safe,
Les Doud

- RV Supplement to the T-34 Formation Flight Manual (MS Word Format)
"I have completed the new RV Supplement to the T-34 Formation Flight Manual. Print it out on 8 1/2" by 11" paper, but then cut down to 5 1/2"
by 7" (Landscape) so it can be placed inside the front cover of the T-34 Manual and become part of the Manual, not separate from it.

- FFI Program Manual
"I have completed an update (Revision 3) to the FFI Program Manual. Those that have the FFI Program Manual on their various web sites should replace the older Rev 2 with this new Rev 3.

- RV7A slow build parts spreadsheet
I read about Dan Checkoways cruise he took and how unhappy he was because he wasn't building while cruising.
Well I took his quandary to heart and when my wife and I along with our three daughters went on a cruise in December I decided to make good use of my time. I took along the packing lists for my RV-7A (emp, wings and fuse) and my trusty laptop and while plying the Caribbean ocean I built a spreadsheet of all the parts (part number; description, quantity, subkit and part bag number).
This has saved me a ton of time, if I need a part, F-702 for instance, I just do a CTRL-F enter the part number and the part appears with the subkit or bag number.
Now the key to the system is to keep all you parts grouped together in "subkit boxes" and the bag parts in their original bags. The one exception I made was to put all the rivets in a parts organizer.
I tried to load it into the files section of the Yahoo RV-7 group, but was rejected by some stupid pop up that said it was to big for the files section.
I have attached the file take a look at it and if you think it is worth while feel free to post it on your site or the Yahoo group if you can upload it as the group owner.
