FLAPS

I installed the flap spars upside down and had to re-order from Van's. Nice start, huh?
AILERONS

The 'workbench' is a $10 door from Home Depot. The aileron counterweight is a piece of galvanized pipe. Unbelievably simple and very effective.
THE FUEL TANKS

Working with Pro-Seal on the tanks is also something I found to be much easier than I expected. You go through about two boxes of surgical gloves and about 500 pop-sickle sticks. A neighbor down the street with a woodshop made the clamps. Nice guy...

I opted to build my own spar. It took 40 hours and saved us around $900. It's actually very easy to do and I wouldn't hesitate to suggest anyone building their own.
THE FINISHED PRODUCT
I'll mount the fiberglass tips at a later date, when I buy the tip lights. Oh yeah, if you look real close in the images below, you can see the PVC pipe that runs the length of the wing. That's where the wiring for the tip lights will be run.
