See those boxes over on the right side of this screen filled with recent VAF Forum posts from the RV-10, RV-8/8A and classified sections? They are being pulled DYNAMICALLY from the forums and you can put information like this in any web page of yours you want. Come back later and there might be different posts there.

Want a way to attract more RV people to your web page?  It just takes a couple of minutes to set this up - put it in your online RV builder log, your personal home page, your area's RV web site, your blog, etc.

If you can copy and paste text into your site you have the skill set needed.

How to:

1. Find the VAF forum you want to include using the links below as a model. Note how the number on the end correlates to a specific forum (2 is the 'RV General Discussion/News' forum, 64 is the North Texas area). To figure out which number is which simply go to the main VAF Forum site and mouse over the various forums to see which number is associated with each area (it's the number on the end - look down at the bottom left corner of your monitor if you're using Internet Explorer to see it).

The General Discussion / News forum:

The RV 10 forum:
    http://www.vansairforce.com/community/external.php?type=rss2&forumids=4

The RV 8/8A forum:
    http://www.vansairforce.com/community/external.php?type=rss2&forumids=6

The Classifieds forum:
    http://www.vansairforce.com/community/external.php?type=rss2&forumids=3

2. Go to any free 3rd party external RSS feed site that will generate javascript for you, such as the one I used when researching this:  http://jade.mcli.dist.maricopa.edu/feed/index.php?s=build (btw, Google returns about 2 million choices on this topic <g>)

3. Copy/paste the text from above (the bolded text) into the box where the RSS site tells you to. Look for the 'Preview' button - use it and tweak the options until you're happy (you can tell it to display descriptions, dates, etc). Just using the defaults will get you real close.

4. Click the 'Generate Javascript' button to get your code and copy/paste this into your web site wherever you want it.

You're done.  Fiddle with the code further in your web authoring software (font, size, color, etc)

Notice how I changed the options at right in the three boxes:  descriptions, include the post time/date, varying the number of posts to show).  Plenty to fiddle with.

Thanks for reading, tell your friends about this and have a great day.
